What is this site?
A working operator's comparison of two human-plus-agent workspaces: Buzz, an open-source desktop app by Block in Developer Preview, and BAND, hosted interaction infrastructure with an agentic mesh and a control plane. We answer with bench evidence: setup timers, workflow walkthroughs, cost math, and data-control audits.
Who is it for?
One reader, held tightly: the hands-on operator. Real work waiting, a git repository, two or three agents already running, and no patience for enterprise language. They will self-host if it earns its keep, and they read the numbers before the prose.
What do we test on?
Every bench entry states machine, operating system, tier, and date. Nothing is undated. A claim on this site is one of three things: measured on the bench, sourced to a vendor page with a date, or flagged as not yet measured. The method is on how we test, and the runs are in the bench log.
